For those of you who have not yet ventured out too much we want to reassure that we have been taking all the precautions to make our shop a safe shopping environment for all of us. Controlling how many people come in, giving gloves to everyone , keeping our doors open for the breeze to flow through , touch free credit card processing or Apple pay , social distancing … 3 baguettes apart not 3 croissants apart please !
So far we do not have a shopping cart available online as our inventory can change rapidly but we take Visa and Master cards over the phone . Gift wrapping is free always and we have been charging cost for all shipping via USPS or UPS depending on the size of the product .
We plan to have morning private shopping appointments in the next few months to spread the Holidays and avoid waiting lines or last minute rush.
One thing Covid has taught us is that we need time to take photos of everything that comes in , upload all the new things on the site tabs , keep all our platforms updated to make it as easy as possible for people to support our small business . So even if the door is closed in the morning , we are still working somehow …
The other thing we realized is that, as much as people are online looking at our gift ideas ( which we will update with more when new merchandise arrives ) , they love to be able to get out of the house , have a little social interaction that gives life a sense of normalcy these days and for those far away calling us to order instead of just buying online gave them a total different experience , so much more personal and real ! We heard that the big stores would rule , that Amazon would take over retail but we really feel like people need and crave small shop experience and that communities will be more important than ever before ! We love our neighborhood and our neighborhood loves us too !
Hope to see or hear from you soon !
